Creating Incentives?
Know What to Avoid

~~ Avoid using more than five criteria (preferably less) for any one individual, since the more you measure, the lower in value each becomes as a percentage of opportunity.

~~ Avoid weighting any criteria less than 10%, since this sends the wrong message to employees who will typically ignore it.
